Ashley is an oil painter exploring the intersection of classical realism, narrative, and fantasy. Her practice is rooted in traditional painting techniques, with a growing focus on imagined worlds and characters that explore themes of strength, transformation, identity, and becoming.

Though she had always imagined herself as a painter, pursuing art remained, for many years, more dream than reality. In 2020, she began painting during the shutdown, initially returning to her first love, watercolor. Fascinated by the ability to create an image from nothing, she began painting consistently and teaching herself through YouTube videos.

After several years of self-directed study, Ashley sought a more rigorous education through the Evolve Artist program, where she developed a deeper understanding of form, observation, value, color, and composition. She continued her studies at the Barcelona Academy of Art, further developing her foundation in classical drawing and painting.

These experiences have shaped an evolving practice grounded in classical realism while leaving room for imagination. Ashley is particularly drawn to narrative—the ability of a painting to suggest a story, evoke a character, or capture a moment beyond the frame.
